Unlock Your Child’s Full Brain Potential in the First 6 Years

Discover the Science of Early Brain Development & Stronger Brain Power

The first 1,000 days of life shape your child’s brain more than any other time. By the age of 3, a child’s brain has already grown to 80% of its adult size. And by age 6, critical thinking, emotional regulation, and executive function are rapidly taking shape.

But are we doing enough to support this incredible growth?

Join our SMART Start Parenting MasterClass and learn how to transform everyday interactions into powerful brain-nurturing moments. Backed by neuroscience and delivered by child development experts, these sessions are designed to help parents like you nurture the cognitive, emotional, attention and executive function skills that form the foundation for lifelong success.

Why The SMART Start MasterClass Is a Must for Parents of 0–6 Year Olds

Is “Natural” Parenting Holding Your Child Back?

Many loving parents unknowingly fall into well-meaning myths, believing they are empowering their child, when they may actually be missing critical growth windows.

Myth #1:
"Let nature takes its course"

FACT:
Nature does play a role, but so does nurture. The early years offer a once-in-a-lifetime window to actively shape brain circuits for learning and emotional regulation. Brain science shows that early intentional input, especially in the first six years, can dramatically shape a child’s ability to focus, think critically, and manage emotions later in life.

Myth #2:
"All babies are ready to learn"

FACT:
This comforting idea isn’t supported by science. Brain development is not automatic. Some children start their learning journey with strong cognitive wiring, while others need specific stimulation to build foundational skills. Early stimulation matters, and it must be the right kind.

Myth #3:
"Follow my child’s interest"

Fact:

Children tend to choose activities they’re already good at and avoid those they find difficult, usually not because of a lack of interest, but because of a lack of skill. While it feels supportive to follow their lead, this can leave important skill gaps unaddressed and narrow their skill sets during critical growth years.

You’re Doing So Much, But Are You Doing What Really Works?

On the other hand, you may be a proactive parent, already investing time and energy into your child’s development: reading books, buying educational toys, playing brain games, or signing up for enrichment classes. But what if some of the popular strategies you’re using are based on outdated or misleading ideas about how the brain truly grows? Let’s debunk some of the most common brain development myths:

Myth #1:
"Memory equals intelligence"

FACT:
True intelligence isn’t just memorisation, it’s problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking built through sharp sensory perceptions, purposeful observations, making connections and logical reasoning.

Myth #2:
"Fast-paced activities boost brainpower"

FACT:
While fast processing speed is important, quick flashes and rapid drills can harm attention stamina. Intelligence and problem-solving skills are developed from deeper engagement and sustained focus.

Myth #3:
"Play is just for fun"

FACT:
When guided intentionally, play becomes a powerful tool for developing executive function, spatial reasoning, motor coordination, emotional resilience and more.

Why Attention & Executive Function Matter

🔍 The Power of Focus

A focused and attentive mind is the foundation of all successful learning. In early childhood, attention is still developing, and parents play a huge role in guiding this. Learn how to nurture sustained focus, even in a world full of distractions.

💡 Executive Function & Emotional Intelligence

These two core abilities are crucial for your child’s long-term success. Executive function enables impulse control, planning, and self-regulation. Emotional intelligence supports healthy friendships, classroom behaviour, and resilience. Learn how to support both.
